Apple, Mac, & iPhone News...
December 17th, 2009
Howdy folks,
One day left till the beginnings of Operation Chokehold and we're sure you've grown quite sick of the buzz...we're feeling less and less like anything out of the ordinary is going to go down tomorrow, and we can't decide whether we're disappointed or relieved. As far as Time magazine not picking Steve Jobs as their person of the year we can only say, who do you think employs those Chinese sweatshop workers who were runners up?
KIDDING.
Apple Stock High?
Oh, if we'd only bought low that first day in 1984, when Apple's stock closed at $26.50...alas, we were not yet born. Now it's a different ballgame to be sure, and one that's far out of any minor league player's reach. Apple closed yesterday at $195.03, and Katy Huberty's predicting it coud hit up to $435.00 in the next year. Of course there are scenarios, conditions...but someone very intelligent and with an expertise in the market believes it could happen. That height is astronomical. Huberty states that her bull scenario (wherein Apple increases global market share, adds more affordable hardware and service plans and chucks AT&T to the curb...really. Read it.) could result in Apple hitting those high notes, but the base and bear scenarios ain't so hot.
If Apple basically maintains the status quo she sees them rising to about $230.00 a share, while a worst case for instance sees them dropping to $150.00...along with our hopes and dreams.
Good AT&T News!
We're working on a balancing act, kids. At least we're trying. With Fake Steve Jobs' blog swirling around the internet with news and updates on the big guerilla attack for tomorrow, Fake world leaders are Fake writing in....but it's truly funny. Check it out. But some news concerning our favorite whipping post is sounding pretty sweet--soon the good people of Vermont will have 3G service. Is it us or is it kind of strange that there's still an entire state of people without that?
We guess the important thing is that they're getting it now...happy holidays from AT&T?
Celery's Good For You
At least, if you're incapable of using all that newfangled technology like email and SMS. Seriously, this service is great and it's making life a lot easier for seniors and other people who want to get in on the social networking act but are unable to do so or don't know how.
Take octogenarian Dorothy Miller from New York state, who uses the service to connect remotely with her kids and grandkids: she writes out her emails and tweets by hand and faxes them in to Celery, whose technicians upload her thoughts to the internet. Check out the youtube video here. You can read her tweets at http://twitter.com/dorothy_celery.
Hit us up on our Twitter, too!
Till Monday, Newsies...
